Barnes HC has entered a long term agreement with the Hockey Centre and the club benefits the more we purchase!
The first cut off date for kit ordering is 30th September 2009 and we are organising rapid delivery (4 weeks) for all orders placed before this date (rather than 8-10 weeks if you order later than this date on bespoke items).
Any questions on the kit then please talk to your captains or club captains.

Please note that Head of the River Races are taking place on the following dates:

Sunday 28th March 2010 *
Please note that all three races in March are likely to be extremely busy

The races will affect the following Barnes teams and their opponents:
17th October
Men’s 1st, 3rd XI and Beavers
Ladies 2nd and 3rd XI

14th November
Men’s 1st, 3rd XI and Beavers
Ladies 3rd XI

13th March
Men’s 2nd, 4th XI and Beavers
Ladies 1st and 6th XI

27th March
Men’s 2nd, 4th XI and Beavers
Ladies 1st XI

As parking at Dukes Meadow will be busy, you may wish to park at the clubhouse and walk over to the pitch, if you wish to do this please allow enough time so that match start times wont be affected.

Training this season will take place on the following days:

Ladies Club - Monday 8pm
Men’s Club – Tuesday 8pm
Ladies 1st and 2nd XI – Wednesday 8pm
Colts – Sunday 10am

This will take place throughout the 2009/2010 season, and beyond!

A Facebook group has been created for those who are interested in playing, either frequently or infrequently. We have entered the HA Mixed Trophy, will be having some other Sunday friendlies, and also organising tours and hockey days in the future.

HOW SERIOUS WILL THE HOCKEY BE?
Well, it will be as serious as those participating want it to be. If we have enough interest, we'll have one competitive team and one social. We'll see who is signs up and work it out as we go along.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The idea is that rather than organise formal matches throughout the summer, we have an open 90min slot each week that people can turn up to, pay a small fee and get a run out and have a drink afterwards

WHEN?
The sessions will run from 7.30-9pm every Wednesday until we say otherwise!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
So, you turn up and if...

1. There are 12-14 people we play one game on half a pitch
2. There are between 14 and 24 we play one game on a whole pitch
3. There are 24 people or more we play two games on a half pitch each

So come on down and have a run around. Bring a spare shirt with you so you have at least one change of colour.

NEW MEMBERS
If you are thinking about joing Barnes next season or know anyone who would the please feel free to come along, it's a great way to get to know some of us before the season begins!

NOTE:
This is for all standards and is meant to be enjoyable, so don't turn up and expect 1st XI standard. There will be a mix and so set your expectations accordingly.

Match fee is £5 per person
