Welcome to Barnes Hockey Club

BHC is a lively and thriving club in south-west London.  We cater to all levels of hockey, with seven men's and six ladies' teams, ranging from our  National League Ladies 1st XI to more sociable, local leagues, including vets.  Our mixed hockey side has recently enjoyed great success, winning two trophies last season.  We also have a strong colts section for younger children aged 6 to 13.

Barnes is a friendly club, known for its social life, and which benefits from great facilities, including a new water-based pitch at Dukes Meadows, Chiswick.  Our clubhouse is walking distance from Barnes Bridge train station, with regular buses to Hammersmith, and is a popular venue for after-match socialising for both home and visiting teams.

We are proud to be a part of the Go South Go consortium and have been named in the 2012 Pre-Olympic Games Training Camps (PGTC) guide. Click here for further information.
 

Social Scene

Off the pitch, we put aside the serious business of hockey and, with 13 teams, like to enjoy ourselves.  Regular social events include a quiz night, curry, pub golf, a rounders tournament and a monthly prize draw, culminating in the legendary end-of-season Dinner Dance, now part of local folklore and not to be missed!
